One day Fate knocked at my door
One day Fate knocked at my door
But I was sleeping
Another day, I was too busy to notice
So it stopped calling me and since then
I´ve been going down
On a mountain of sorrows I sit and cry
Nobody hears me – not even Death
From time to time a tear drops by
Sometimes the void takes all my breath
My sorrows grew and took shape themselves
But lethargically I sat, not able to do anything
So they laughed at me and chained my thoughts
And stung me with their poison
But then I dreamed of a girl with bright brown eyes
And she smiled at me
And wide was her smile as wide as the ocean
She took my hand and said Alright!
And she filled the Emptiness with her singing laughter.
When I awoke I still sat on the mountain
But then I stood up and smiled myself
I laughed out loud
And the sorrows just resolved themselves into a dew.
One day fate was knocking at my door
And I let her in –
The girl with the bright brown eyes.
