Four Poems

A ROSE
______

A rose. Behind it nothing,
but the acceptance
of its real beauty.
Wonderful is Nature
with her constance
and rules of life,
wonderful and cruel:
the rose is protected by thorns,
yet it will wither soon or later
(as you, my love, are withering).
And in the immense universe
the earth and the rose
are a single thing,
whereas our eyes
-tiny beings´ eyes- can discern
shapes and colours
in littleness...
We, deformed, thorny plants who,
yet, know the deep sorrows
of existence.

ACROSTIC
________

L: Look upon me more
O: Or kill me with your blade-shadow, before
V: Vanishing in the high romance of nothingness,
E: Ever regretted creature of a moment.

HARD ON SOFT
____________

Let the child cry itself to sleep
And then softly play your guitar,
Thinking of the secrets you must keep.

Close your eyes before the moon
And invent an effigy to love,
And invent a soup to spoon.

The child is breathing deep;
You´re his playmate so boon,
You´re his friend so unreal and steep!

Softly you hurry up to play your songs
You must end them before dawn comes
To wash the child from world´s wrongs.

In the night hardness which tears,
you can see his head on the cushion
Under the shining blindness of stars.

Your voice is still while light comes in again
You´re looking yourself in infancy...
Let the baby sleep until it cries again.

GAS BLANKS THE SOULS...
_______________________

Gas blanks the souls
in a nice day on Universe Street.
Physical sun floods crowds
while chickens are boiling for supper.
In this hour of clarity, I meet
the Circus caravan of friends and “grappa“.
They say they wish to listen to
my stanzas of gibberish -bad music-
and to psalm the Unspeakable -they wish too-
inside my huge crane on the wave of red magic.
Picking my eye with their nails,
I say: orgasm of trick! Words sink in love...
God has never sent mail!
They begin to weep with shoes
full of onions and newspaper clippings:
everybody must get the blues.
In the same black room again hear me wounded
wounding...
Solitude is a dissatisfaction
-who can deny?-.
I shouted: send me a true sign,
special delivery I´ll reply.
