Die Autorin versteht es, mit Worten Stimmungsbilder zu malen und den Leser an der eigenen Begeisterung am Land zwischen Meer und Bodden teilhaben zu lassen. In ihren mit liebevoller Hand niedergeschriebenen Gedichten und Geschichten kommen auch Ahrenshooper Impressionen nicht zu kurz. Bereits nach wenigen Seiten glaubt man, den kühlen Seewind selbst wahrzunehmen, das Rauschen der Wellen zu hören, Salzkristalle auf der Zunge zu schmecken und den feuchten Sand unter den Füßen zu spüren. Visuell laden auch die Fotografien der Autorin zu einer Fantasiereise ein, wecken Sehnsucht nach einem Urlaub am Meer oder lassen voller Wehmut an vergangene Urlaubstage zurückdenken.
