11- year- old girl lost the final match at the regional champion chips
The Story Before
When I was 11, I started playing tennis
for fun. My mom and I bought my first racket and I was over the moon when I had my first training. It was really fun and I thought it was pretty easy but to be as good as the older ones was hard work.
“…but to be as good as the older ones was hard work!”
I had training two times a week and my trainer and I saw the development of my hit. My parents and especially my mom were very proud of me.
Then, one day, my trainer said to me that I could messed myself with other youth in a regional tennis match.
First, I was a little unsaved but my mom said I should believe in me, and so I started to intensify my training.
The Moment Was There
About two month ago, we drove to the sports centre of Luckenwalde, and there were the two tennis courts.
I felt pretty confident. Playing against my first opponent wasn’t too difficult. There weren’t too many opponents. After some matches I’d won, there was only one opponent remained.
My parents and my best friend sat on the tribune for the audience.
Suddenly I got nervous and my knees became like butter. For a moment I thought I wasn’t able to finish the final match. I wasn’t able to think of anything and at the same moment there were so many thoughts in my head.
The Final Match
The ref whistled, so the match could start. I took a lot of power into this final match but it wasn’t enough and so I became the second winner.
I got the cup for the second place from the regional chairman. I was over the moon as I got my price.
When I heard that the first winner got an meeting with Steffi Graf I became a little jealous.

Manchmal schief gewickelt
