Surprising win at the competition

The firebrigade Gebersdorf 3rd winner at the firebrigadecompetition in Kemlitz...

Once upon a time
When I was 12 years old I became part of the fire brigade Gebersdorf. I took
this way voluntarily because a lot of my friends were there. At first I get
my uniform; a blue trousers, a blue jacket and shirt, gloves and a hat. Then
I got my certificate from the coach. I was a little bit proud.
Practical training
At the fire department Gebersdorf we meat us on Saturday morning every week.
Our plan for the next time was the training for the firebrigade
competition in Kemlitz. Every member of our group had a task. I took part
too. At first my task was really difficult for me because I should hold the
high pressure tube in my hands and try to aime the target. During the fire
fighting we had to run with the firehoses a lot, so it was hard. A few
weeks later everyone controlled his position. It was great because the
fire brigades competition was near at hand.
The competition
At the morning of the 17 of May,we are meat us at the firedepartment. It was
my first competition so I was a terribly nervous. Then we put our
equipment like the firehoses or high pressure tubes in the fire engine.
Everybody was ready to start. At 8´o clock we arrived at Kemlitz. A lot of
other firebrigadeteams were on the place. Our coach said that we had the
start number 4. There was a lot of audience for example the mayor of
Gebersdorf.

We prepared ourselfes. Then it was our turn - a new
experience for me.I was exited and unsave. The firefighting went like clock work and we was very
fast. So our coach was very proud of us.After a while
was the presentation ceremony. It was a big surprise for us; we was the
third winner. Everybody was over the moon. The chairman congratulated us and
we got a document and a cup. Then we drove home - glad -and celebrated our first
success.
